The 3,500 s/f fitness center, which includes a yoga stu- dio, lounge and game room, is outfitted with cardio and weight training equipment and offers men’s and women’s locker rooms and showering facilities, so gym users can refresh before returning to the office. More than 1200 tenants signed up to use the fitness center in the first week, a testament to the de- mand for health and wellness amenities at Florham Park Corporate Center. “Tenants understand the importance of a healthy work- life balance, and as a result, tenants want to offer their employees easy ways to main- tain such a balance,” said Mi- chael Bergman , president and CEO of Bergman Real Estate Group. “By including a fitness center in the same complex as their workplace, employees can take care of their health without cutting into their work day.” The fitness center is one of several unique amenities opening at many Bergman Real Estate Group-owned properties, as part of a cor- porate capital improvement campaign to upgrade assets across its portfolio. According to Bergman, the new fitness center is consistent with the company’s philosophy: to transform suburban office environments into more com- fortable places to work. “The working environment is a significant contributor to employee happiness, and tenants know that the right office can quite literally make or break employee retention,” Bergman said. “Cool and one- of-a-kind amenities shouldn’t be something for the New York City offices -- hundreds of suburban New Jersey busi- nesses want their employees to have access to such."
