HEALTHY REC I PE GREEK TURKEY BURGERS WITH SPINACH

Following the race, I had a follow up appointment with Tom who then referred me to Laura. She has been helping me out ever since with the inevitable injuries that pop up from time to time. Just recently Laura has been working on my strained hamstring to get me ready for my next triathlon. Without her help, I am positive I would not be in a position to even participate. I couldn’t be more pleased with how accommodating and friendly all of the staff are at Concept of Movement! - Brent F. Walking Lunge Stand comfortably with your feet shoulder width apart. Take a large step forward with one leg, keeping your back foot in starting position while rolling onto your toes. Keep your spine straight and your forward and back knees bent, so that you make right angles with your hip, knee, and ankle. As you lunge, you should feel a stretch across the front of the hip and thigh. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 2-5 times.

Directions Preheat grill to medium-high. Squeeze excess moisture from spinach. Combine the spinach with turkey, feta, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper in a medium bowl; mix well. Form into four 4-inch patties. Oil the grill rack. Grill the patties until cooked through and no longer pink in the center, 4 to 6 minutes per side. (An instant-read thermometer inserted in the center should register 165°F.) Assemble the burgers on the buns, toppingeachwith1 tablespoon tzatziki,3cucumberslicesand2onionrings.

Jennifer graduated from Fleming CollegeJuneof2010withherAdvanced Diploma in Massage Therapy and completed her Registration with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario in February 2012. Along with her diploma, Jennifer is certified in Level 1 Sport Taping and Wrapping along with Level 1 and Level 2 Kinesio taping, which is perfect for elite and amateur athletes. A lot of Jennifer’s experience comes from working with an athletic population including professional athletes as well as athletes that participate in the Ontario College Athletics Association, primarily in basketball and volleyball. Although the majority of her experience comes from working with sports injuries, Jennifer is confident working with a wide variety of chronic conditions as well. She is very passionate about massage therapy as she enjoys seeing the changes in her client’s health and wellness. Along with her passion for massage, she loves volleyball. Jennifer has been playing competitively since she was 13 years old. From 2007 – 2010 she played varsity at Fleming College and in 2011 Jennifer was fortunate enough to play in Alberta for a season. After her competitive career, she decided to come back to Ontario and start her career in massage therapy. She currently plays volleyball a couple times a week in her spare time. In the off-season, Jennifer loves to be outside either on her stand up paddleboard on Georgian Bay or rollerblading on the Tay Trail.
