Pipelife has supplied 16kW Midea Monobloc Heat Pumps for the Gaeltec Utilities Ltd offices in Kilkenny. The installation was part of the project to replace the old gas heating system with a modern air-to-water one at the energy transmission and distribution systems company. Pipelife was delighted to be involved with this project with installer PF Plumbing & Heating and is sure Gaeltec will see the benefits of upgrading its heating system for years to come. This range of heat pumps features the M Thermal integrated system, which provides space heating and cooling as well as domestic hot water, offering a complete, all-year-round solution. The 16Kw Midea Monobloc is a single unit placed outside the building, taking no space inside, and is easy to install. The pump is available in single-phase capacities of 4kW – 16kW, or three-phase capacities of 12kW to 30kW. Visit www.pipelife.ie SAY HELLO TO THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOC!

NEW SUSTAINABLE FLEET FOR WARMFLOW

Heat products manufacturers Warmflow have continued their investment in customer service and support by introducing a fleet of new delivery vans. The company has already run trials on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), a fully renewable liquid fuel, in all vans in the business as they strive to improve their green credentials and reduce their carbon footprint. The ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) confirms that HVO is a sustainable fuel that is made from waste products or crops and doesn’t contribute to deforestation. According to Director Oliver Cormican, it is all about first-class and efficient customer service: “These new vans are a great way for us to efficiently deliver our state-of-the-art home heating products to our customers, ensuring excellent service every time.” Visit www.warmflow.co.uk

Daikin was delighted to win “Best Renewable Product” at this year’s Architecture & Building Expo for their latest innovation, the Daikin Multi+. The event, held last October in Dublin, awards top architects, architectural technologists and other professionals and specifiers. Daikin’s Multi+ is an evolution of the existing Multi system to provide an option for hot water along with up to three indoor units. The judges remarked that the systems’ flexibility, stellar efficiency, and extensive range of indoor units make it a perfect fit for small residential applications. The different types of indoor units allow for more design options, as they can be mounted on the wall, in a ceiling cassette corner, or a concealed ceiling unit. The Multi+ uses R-32 refrigerant, reducing the environmental impact by 68% compared to the R-410A refrigerant, and leads directly to lower energy consumption thanks to its high energy efficiency.
