which includes lease rental and damage payments. This coming December, she and husband Wesley will be married 46 years. Wesley is retired and is a full time Papa to grandchildren Chloe, who is 9 and Conley, who just turned one. They have one daughter Leslie, who is a teacher in Keller ISD and their son-in-law is a teacher in Dallas ISD. Their favorite hobby is camping with friends and family in the DFW metroplex. They enjoy traveling to listen to live music concerts and supporting TCU football. Vickie has celebrated being a member of Dalworth for over 20 plus years holding various offices. The friendships made and the knowledge she has learned is immeasurable. The Dalworth Spring Seminar will be held at XTO Energy’s offices on June 1, 2017. When asked if there’s anything she would like to share regarding her involvement, Debbie said, “Volunteering has helped keep me employed over the years”. “Getting out there, going to Institute and making those connections…makes the difference”. Whether it be finding a job or the right contact at a company to obtain the information you need to do your job, personal connections are a key to being successful. I encourage all of you to consider Debbie’s words. I chose Vickie Coles for her outstanding attitude and unwavering support for Dalworth & NADOA. Vickie Coles has worked in the Oil and Gas Industry going on 26 years now. The first ten were at Union Pacific Resources which merged into Anadarko in 1999. It was at this time she became involved with Dalworth, working for and with Cindy Oliver, Sue Kimball, and Delores Crawford. These ladies were very passionate about Dalworth and NADOA and through them Vickie learned about division orders and the oil and gas industry. At UPR she helped set up an Interest Owners group. This new group answered all types of questions concerning leases, division orders, marketing arrangements and payment calculations. After the merger, she went to work for her current employer, Pioneer Natural Resources, in Irving using her knowledge of Division Orders and Owner Relations to work with the Joint Interest owners. Vickie handles collections and researches charges on the partners. She also prepares the 1099 reporting for the Accounts Payable department for Pioneer as well as their subsidiary companies. For the last 15 years she has managed the unclaimed property reporting for Accounts Payable,

Member Spotlight

Alexa was born in Michigan and lived there until she was 12, then she and her family moved to Denver for her father’s job. While in Colorado, Alexa has lived in Castle Rock and up in Boulder during college. On February 18, Alexa married Ian Simpson in her spare time and the two adopted a new puppy, Riley. Alexa enjoys spending time surrounded by family and friends. She loves participating in outdoor activities like

hiking in the summer and going to the mountains for snowboarding in the winter. She also enjoys going to Chicago and Michigan multiple times a year to go boating on the lakes. In May of 2014, Alexa graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Communications. In July 2014, Alexa starting working as a contract Division Order Coordinator at Encana; after her first couple of weeks she realized what a great industry this is and worked hard to become a fulltime employee. All of Alexa’s hard work paid off as she was hired on as a full time employee in February 2015. Alexa is a new DADOA member, has worked on the newsletter committee and is the 2017 DADOA Treasurer. Alexa has learned so much in her current role, but one take away is that the industry is constantly changing and there will always be more information to be learned-- you’ll never be
