Christmas Day Golf Tee Times Request Sunday, March 28, 2021 7:57:21 AM

Attention: Ed Vitrano, General Manager
Don Renoe, ORPS Board President
My name is Virginia Gayken, and have been an ORPS owner along with my husband Allen since 2002. We currently reside on lot #764. I am respectfully requesting to reserve 9 tee times for December 25, 2021 for a Christmas Day golf event. The first tee time requested is 8:45am. We would gladly accept the Golf Director’s recommendation of back to back scheduled tee times or doing a “Shotgun” start. Prior to the scheduled day of golf, a seven (7) day advanced notice will be given to the Golf Director of all golfers participating in the event. I understand that any tee time slots not used will be released. This has been a long time tradition that was started in 1995. However, the original couple who organized the event are no longer ORPS owners. Allen and I volunteered to replace them. To give a history of how the golf event became about, several years back there were two couples who organized a Christmas Eve dinner. They invited friends and acquaintances who were staying in the resort during the Christmas holiday. Due to personal circumstances one of the couples had sold out and no longer a ORPS owner. It was then that Allen and I were approached and asked if we would volunteer in helping and organizing the Christmas Eve dinner. Both couples shares in all of the incurred expenses, which included, catering of the main course meal of turkey, ham, dressing, and gravy, that is catered by Bella Roma. Plus, we absorb the cost for table linens, clubhouse fees, and other miscellaneous expenses. We have approximately 70 invited guests. As a grand finale for this special occasion, on Christmas Day, I have done the organizing of the golf event. All those who are invited for the dinner are too invited to play golf. However, because of not having everyone choosing to golf, this makes for open tee time slots. I do want to stress, that we have in the past and will continue to extend to owners and renters the opportunity to be part of the golf event. Because of COVID, the 2020 Christmas Eve dinner was cancelled; however, the Christmas Day golf continued. We started out with 7 tee times...it turned out two additional tee times was needed to make room for the added golfers. As a side note, in the the past we have done scheduled tee times, but this last go round it was a “Shotgun” start that I felt it worked out good for us and the golf course. I do want to express, the Christmas Eve golf was never designated as an exclusive or private golf event. If anyone has an interest to wanting to golf in this event, they are more than welcome to. They do need to contact me so they can be added to the players list. I think anyone who really knows me, will know I will go out of my way to include all that I
