She has also recently completed the interior for a home in Battersea Power Station, which in contrast was new, vibrant and brought some interesting Britishness into the iconic location. “I love the whole scope of interiors that I work on. I thought The Auria for Peabody was a real highlight and being in Notting Hill I wanted to create a sanctuary from city life and bring a village-like feel from the neighbourhood into the apartment.” Located in the heart of the extensive Portobello Square regeneration, homes there form part of the 1,000 new homes being developed, alongside new public realm and a range of commercial opportunities. She said, “Allocate what money you have carefully and my advice would be to spend more on bigger pieces like a sofa so they stand the test of time. Consider where you might be living in say five years’ time and don’t just buy for now, but for the future. The key pieces should have longevity and with the cost of living as it is, you really can’t afford to re-buy.
