NEW HOMES

NEW HOME, NEW LIFESTYLE Greenwich Millennium Village offers all the benefits of being in London, while enjoying nature on your doorstep

A perfect example of an urban village, Greenwich Millennium Village, which opened in 2000 and is expected to complete in 2032, offers the unbeatable combination of being in one of the best-connected areas of the city while enjoying the peace and quiet of being surrounded by parkland, wetland and wildlife-rich riverside scenery. This thriving development, close to the iconic O2 leisure and entertainment centre, is a joint venture between Countryside Partnerships (part of the Vistry Group) and Taylor Wimpey, in association with the Mayor of London, that will eventually see 2,800 new homes built in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Constantly growing and developing, new amenities and facilities are opening here all the time – this spring has seen both a new community centre and a nursery open their doors. The impressive two-storey community centre has three separate spaces, all differently sized, available for community use, while the nursery, run by N Family Club, is a purpose-built, modern space with five naturally lit rooms and a specialist garden for each age group. These new facilities add to the convenience of the area, which already has the Millennium Primary School, rated as Outstanding by Oftsted, along with shops, a hairdresser, spa and pharmacy. One of the highlights of living at Greenwich Millennium Village is the Ecology Park, a four-acre freshwater wetland site with two lakes, marshes, meadows and moorland. With wooden boardwalks, bird hides where you can spot some of the 85 species of birdlife, and an extensive eco play area with a climbing tower and exciting equipment, you might almost forget that you are living in the city. Everywhere in London is easily accessible, however, thanks to the area’s excellent transport options. North Greenwich station, Zone 2/3, is a few minutes’ walk away, offering DLR and Jubilee Line services, with trains reaching Canary Wharf in just two minutes, Stratford in nine minutes and London City airport in 15 minutes. From Canary Wharf, the Elizabeth Line opens up transport across London, whisking commuters to Liverpool Street in six minutes, Paddington in 17 minutes and Heathrow airport in three quarters of an hour. The area is well served by buses, and you can also catch the IFS Cloud Cable Car across the Thames from

the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks or go along the river on the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers service that heads from North Greenwich Pier to London Bridge, Waterloo and beyond. The latest release of homes at Greenwich
