Action. Sustainability in Action Right now, we are implementing both large and small scale sustainability initiatives across Ardmac. Through actions such as modelling embodied carbon on all our projects, Ardmac is making steady progress towards delivering a measurable and impactful sustainability framework. Our approach is enabling us to assess the carbon footprint of our projects early i n the design phase, allowing for better informed customer decisions on material selection and design methodologies.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP
“Influencing our supply chain is an important part of Ardmac’s sustainability strategy. It allows us to have an impact beyond our immediate operations and amplifies our ability to make a tangible difference.”
Enabling Greater Impact Ardmac is equally committed to supporting our supply chain to enhance their ability to have a sustainable impact. As part of our sustainability strategy, we are actively influencing our suppliers, increasingly requiring them to meet enhanced environmental standards on the products and services they provide. Recently, we worked in close collaboration with Dagard, a leading industry supplier and Purever Group partner, to secure Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). This innovative partnership approach to sustainability has set an industry benchmark for cleanroom materials and showcasing Ardmac’s commitment to extend sustainability beyond our own operations. Achieving ISO 20400 certification in sustainable procurement has been a major milestone in our ESG journey. This certification allows us to set robust, ethical procurement standards, ensuring that our commitment to sustainability is replicated throughout the supply chain. Through encouraging our suppliers to pursue EPDs for their products and prioritising partnerships with those who are environmentally responsible, Ardmac is amplifying our impact on enabling a more sustainable future, driving change throughout our industry.
Supported by our skilled inhouse BIM team, we are currently developing a sustainability labelling system for our modular projects that aims to establish a clear measure of project sustainability, similar to the Building Energy Rating (BER) system. Through prioritising materials with lower embodied carbon, we’re actively supporting our customers to meet their ESG targets while contributing to a more sustainable construction process overall.
