TTEC’s Impact
To enhance the collection, quantification, reporting, and disclosure of data in accordance with various ESG frameworks and standards, TTEC has implemented Sustainability Reporting Software. Our ESG team collaborates actively with the real estate, facilities, and procurement teams to systematically gather and organize detailed data on environmental subjects, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water withdrawal, and waste management. This collaborative effort has significantly improved our ability to identify and quantify Scope 3 emissions for the current year. Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) TTEC is committed to doing its part to mitigate climate change and publishes its Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) scores each year. By tracking our performance, we can identify opportunities for improvement and build on momentum where we have seen success. By participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project, TTEC is able to capture a snapshot of our environmental performance and publish data in a singular disclosure. In line with our commitment to continuous improvement, we’re proud to share that we received a ‘C’ score in the Climate and Water categories of our 2024 CDP assessment—an improvement from our previous ‘D’ score in 2023. This reflects our progress from the Disclosure level to Awareness, demonstrating a stronger understanding of our environmental impacts and risks in the areas most material to our business.
We actively maintain and monitor significant biodiversity areas surrounding our facilities, including:
At TTEC, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint by adopting energy-efficient practices. These include the use of high-efficiency HVAC equipment, LED lighting, motion sensors, touchless fixtures, and building management systems to regulate energy use and minimize waste. As part of our real estate due diligence, we incorporate LEED guidelines to ensure that decisions on new sites prioritize building efficiency and reduce operational costs. Additionally, through site surveys and audits, we develop tailored recycling programs that address the specific needs and circumstances of each location. Water Stress Risk TTEC has implemented proactive measures to address water stress risks and promote efficient water use. These initiatives include installing motion sensor faucets and toilets in our facilities, significantly reducing water waste. By sourcing water responsibly from municipal supplies and ensuring that all used water is treated and discharged through municipal systems, TTEC prevents contamination of freshwater and marine ecosystems. Importantly, TTEC does not extract water from groundwater sources, further minimizing our environmental impact. As of 2024, TTEC classifies 22 of our sites as being in regions with “High” water stress, constituting 29% of our global sites. Given the nature of our business, we consider our water-related impact on these sites to be minimal. Biodiversity At TTEC, we deeply understand the critical importance of biodiversity and its essential role in maintaining the health and balance of our ecosystems. Our unwavering commitment to biodiversity is a cornerstone of our sustainability strategy and underscores our dedication to environmental stewardship.
• Legally protected areas
• UNESCO World Heritage sites
• UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Reserves
• Ramsar (wetlands) sites
• Key Biodiversity Areas
• Other areas important for biodiversity
Our facilities are primarily office spaces leased in urban areas, which significantly reduces our exposure to sensitive ecological zones. However, we acknowledge that a few of our sites are in proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites. Despite this, the nature of our business operations ensures that our impact on these critical areas is negligible, if not absent. By integrating these practices, TTEC demonstrates a proactive approach to conserving biodiversity, reflecting our broader commitment to sustainable and responsible business operations. Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management TTEC operates across multiple countries and regions, managing a diverse portfolio of over 70 sites. We utilize the operational control approach to consolidate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which includes any asset or facility in which TTEC has an operating interest. Both owned and leased assets are included in our inventory. The emissions reported for 2024 were calculated using the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, prepared by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
