Middlesex Centre – Municipal Minute
In the summer of 2024, Middlesex Centre repainted the iconic barn at Ilderton’s Heritage Park. As part of that face-lift, Middlesex Centre engaged the community in designing a barn quilt for the side of the building. The new quilt was installed in September. Seen in rural areas across Canada, barn quilts tell a story about the people, heritage and landscape of a community through their design. The Heritage Park quilt captures the spirit of Ilderton, celebrating its natural beauty, cultural richness and enduring community bonds. Join Us for Free Public Skating Thanks to the generosity of many local businesses and community organizations, Middlesex Centre is excited to offer free public skating on weekends and special holidays throughout the fall and winter. You can find a list of sponsored public skating dates at middlesexcentre.ca/skating or watch for weekly updates on social media. Getting Ready for Winter Roads Middlesex Centre staff are getting ready for the winter weather to come and are tuning up the snowplows! No Overnight Parking – There is no overnight parking allowed on municipal roads between 2 am and 7 am from Labour Day to Victoria Day. This is particularly important as we head into the winter season to allow for snow clearing.
