Ilderton December 2024 Villager

Message from the Mayor You know winter is on its way when Daylight Savings Time ends and the days are really getting short! For many of us, the darker days and colder weather signal that we should start thinking about getting ready for seasonal celebrations, and I believe this is a great time to shop local. Plan a family day trip to investigate all that is available at our local on- farm stores and the shops located in our villages and settlement areas. Visit Middlesex, Middlesex County’s tourism website, identifies not only our local Middlesex Centre (MXC) businesses but also those located across our region (www.visitmiddlesex.ca). Your festive menus can feature fresh produce and fruits, meat, eggs, cheese, gelato, various kinds of flour, baked goods, sweets and syrup that are all grown or produced locally. You’ll also find a variety of unique clothing, craft and gift stores. If you need a Christmas tree, finding a fresh tree under which to place your presents won’t be a problem either!
