60 AXLES
Follow manufacturer’s recommended maintenance procedures on axle lubrication and torque requirements, including normal retorquing intervals, for axle spindle nuts and the nuts that secure the wheels to the vehicle. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE PROCEDURES MAY RESULT IN A WHEEL END SEPARATION WHICH CAN RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
T
Single wheels may overload axle components. Consult the Beall factory of origin before installing offset single wheels.
SPINDLE NUT
It is critical to follow the spindle nut manufacturer’s installation instructions at all times. Improper installation could result in a wheel-off situation.
Do not use an air impact wrench to tighten spindle nut.
Failure to correctly lubricate bearings and to maintain proper lubrication could cause bearing and axle spindle damage, which could result in the wheel locking up or coming off during vehicle operation. If an external tang or set-screw type lock washer is used, it is important to remember to bend the tabs over the outer lock nut, or to install the set screws in the lock washer after the outer nut has been torqued. Failure to follow this procedure could result in property damage, serious injury or death. Failure to torque the outer lock nut properly could cause the wheel to come off during vehicle operation, which could result in property damage, serious injury or death.
Do not mix lubricants due to possible compatibility problems.
