Any axle found with cracks should not be repaired, but replaced immediately. Repair welding can be detrimental to the structural
weakened by welding could fail and cause an accident, which could result in serious injury or death.
Never bend the axle, by any means, in order to correct any alignment condition. This could weaken the axle and cause axle failure which could result in serious injury or death.

Check for low lube level, high heat caused from improperly adjusted bearings, high heat cause from improperly adjusted brakes.
Leaking Gaskets
