74 GENERAL MAINTENANCE

TIRE PRESSURE

To help ensure safe and dependable operation of this vehicle, proper tire care and tire pressure is essential. Maintain tire pressures in accordance with the tire manufactures’ recommendations. Maximum tire pressure and load can be found on the tire side wall.

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems operated off-highway or in severe service applications can require additional maintenance.

FIFTH WHEEL PLATE

Use of excessively worn, bent, or damaged kingpins - or kingpins which are of improper height - is dangerous since is adversely affected. FIFTH WHEEL PLATE FASTENERS MUST BE KEPT TIGHT. Use properly torqued 1/2” diameter, Grade-8 bolts and nuts with hardened washers. Contact the Beall factory of origin for the correct replacement fasteners. Do not reuse fasteners once removed.
