We sincerely appreciate your interest in this year’s offering and are excited to present this outstanding set of cattle for your evaluation. The bulls and heifers will be available for viewing Sunday afternoon and Monday morning at Broken Bow Livestock Market. Lunch and the auction will be held at the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites. Cooksley Red Angus has proudly raised registered cattle since 1989, and Sandbur Ridge since 1996. The focus of both operations has always been simple: provide commercial cattlemen with cattle that work for you. Our programs prioritize problem-free, fertile, and productive females. At the same time, we have placed strong emphasis on carcass merit and growth performance. By addressing all segments of the industry, our genetics are designed to fit seamlessly into any program and add measurable value to your profitability. The cattle industry is currently experiencing exceptional demand and strong prices — some of the best conditions we have seen in years. As many producers look to retain heifers and potentially expand their cow herds, the importance of long-lasting, productive females becomes even more evident. The bulls we offer are bred to sire durable cows that breed back consistently and remain productive for years to come. Greater longevity in your cow herd means more heifer calves to market from each calf crop, strengthening cash flow and enhancing long-term profitability. Our bulls are developed at Darr Bull Development Center near Cozad, Nebraska. Mitch and his team do an outstanding job every year, and they are always welcoming to anyone who would like to stop by and view the bulls prior to sale day.
