1. Why did you decide to become a physical therapist and what mot ivates you to work wi th patients? I was a division 1 volleyball player in college and had more than my fair share of injuries. In rehabbing my own injuries in PT, I became fascinated with the human body and what it could overcome. I got to see not only how PT changed and improved my life on/off

able to lift a laundry basket to heavy squatting and deadlifting and going to the gym several days a week. Most importantly, she was able to play with her son with no pain.

4. If you could be any animal, what would it be and why? An eagle, I love to travel. It would be pretty awesome to be able to fly wherever you want to go. Plus, I’m a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. GO BIRDS! 5. If you could describe yourself in one word what would it be and why? Gregarious. I love talking to and connecting with people. One of my favorite things about my job is that I get to connect with my patients and learn about their lives, what their interested in, what they do for fun, where they like to travel, what their favorite restaurants are, etc. 6. What do you like to do in your off time, outside the clinic? I love to play guitar and listen to music. I recently moved to Philly with my girlfriend and I guess I would consider us “foodies”. We spend a lot of our free time adventuring around the city, trying different restaurants. It seems like there is an endless amount of amazing food here. I love travelling, trying out new breweries (huge craft beer fan) and living an active lifestyle.(huge craft beer fan), and living an active lifestyle.

It’s very rewarding to take someone who walks in my clinic on crutches and guide them through a rehab program and watch them progress and return to playing their favorite sport or participating in their favorite hobby. 2. In your words, what makes Excel Physical Therapy different from other physical therapy clinics? Excel is different from other physical therapy clinics because we spend a lot of one-on-one time with our patients. The individualized time allows us to utilize different manual therapy techniques, and we are able to coach our patients on proper biomechanics to correct faulty movement patterns. When you come into one of our clinics, you can guarantee that you will spend your entire session with your licensed physical therapist and won’t be passed around to different rehab aides. 3. What was your most memorable patient experience? My most memorable patient experience was treating a young mother who had debilitating low back pain. Her pain was so severe that she lived a very sedentary lifestyle and was unable to play with her son or even lift a laundry basket. After guiding her through a personalized rehab program, she was completely pain free and was so impressed with the benefits of exercise that she became motivated to change her entire lifestyle. She went from not being
