Approach.— (Set a glass of water and an empty whiskey or wine bottle on table.) Can you tell me what is in this glass? Water. How much do you have to pay for a drink BEGINNERS of water? Not a cent. AND God sends us the lovely PRIMARY rain, filling the springs and rivers to give us water, and making the gardens, flowers and trees grow, and it is free, but it is worth a great deal, for it keeps us alive and we could not live without water. Now what kind of a bottle is this? Yes, a whiskey bottle. Can men get a drink of whiskey or wine free? No, they have to pay money for it, and not a cent for a glass of pure, fresh water. Which is worth more? , The water which God made, for it is the best drink in all the world, and whiskey, wine and beer are the worst drinks. The birds, dogs, horses and animals know which is the best, and they would not drink whiskey at all. Whiskey costs even more than the money men have to pay for it. It costs a great many of them their lives, for when a boy takes his first drink, he takes another, and pretty soon he becomes a drunkard and keeps on drink ing until it kills him, and it makes his wife and little children suffer with hun ger and cold because the money was spent for whiskey and beer. We can not count how much whiskey and beer* costs, for it hurts every one who drinks it, makes them suffer and kills them, so we will never touch a drop of it. It is a great evil and we hope the people in the whole world will soon vote so that it can not be made any more. Our memory verse tells us to depart from evil, and do good. Let us say it together. Lesson Story.—A long, long time ago there were four boys carried many miles away from their home into a land all very strange to them, and these boys were put into thè home of the king of the land to live, for the king wanted to train them up to be his helpers, and he picked just the best and smartest

simple faith we believed God. So we must take Him for present sin in simple faith. “As ye have received Christ Jesus so walk ye in Him.” (Col. 2; 6, Gal. 3:2-3) Turn the entire responsi bility of your life over to Jesus and ask Him (and expect Him because you have asked Him) to live your life for you. This He will do by coming into you and living His life in you. (Gal. 2:20), Phil. 1:2) From moment to moment all the day long go to Jesus with every need. Sup pose you must live with some one who is unlovely and who causes you to be impatient and lose your temper. Instantly say, “Lord Jesus thou hast said, “I shall not want. (Ps. 23:1). Thou wilt supply every need of mine. (Phil. 4:19). I thank thee Lord that thou art now meeting my need.” The very moment that you believe that Christ does meet your need, He will. Don’t wait for an experience to test God. That is questioning if God may not be a liar until you have proven Him true. Believe that God is true and that He means just what He says—that’s faith. Faith lets God work. (Eph. 6: 16, 1 Pet. 5:8-9) But remember that it is Christ not faith that saves. “Let ting go” (of all dependence upon self) “and letting God” brings victory every time. This little girl had found the secret. When asked what it meant to be a Christian she replied, Jesus Christ knocks at my door, I say “Come in” and He comes. (Rev. 3:20). Soon there is another knock at my door. It’s Satan. I say, “Jesus, will you please go to the door.” He goes. Then Satan says “Oh excuse me I’ve stopped at the wrong door.” If we go to the door there will be struggle and defeat. If Christ goes,' Victory always. (2 Cor. 2:14, 1 Cor. 15:57.) Choosing the Right. Dan. 1:8-20 Memory Verse.— “Depart from evil, and do good.” Psalm 34:14.
