Y., and said he was "under such con­ viction for sin that he could not sit still. He had resisted a mother’s prayer, and a wife’s prayer. They were both in heaven now. He said he was a drunkard and had lived far away from God, but he would resist no longer. He was soundly converted that night and became the answer to that mother’s and wife’s prayers. There are multitudes of people who will testify that it was the prayers of someone that brought them to God. If this be true, why not pray more for the lost? What We Could Do Dr. French Oliver says, “Suppose there was only one Christian in the world tonight, and that he should patiently work and pray for one year and lead one soul PERTINENT to Christ during thè ILLUSTRATIONS year, and during the next year, those two should each lead one soul to Christ, and the next year, the four would each win one to Christ: at that rate it would take about thirty-three and one-third years to win the present population of the earth to the Saviour.” The Soulwinning Passion A Missionary visited some Singha­ lese villages in Ceylon.
