in the dark. Now that is why we need to know Jesus and have His light shin ing in our lives, because this world is full of sin which makes our lives sad and dark, and the light Jesus gives us is the only light that can drive the sin out of our hearts and lives, and make us sunbeams for Jesus, and you know how we love to sing our sunbeam song. Jesus had been walking a long way with his disciples, and about noon they came to a well just outside the city, where the people came to get water. (Explain well to little folks as some may never have seen one.) It was in the hot part of the day and Jesus being tired with his long walk, sat down by the well. His disciples had gone into the ctiy to buy food, and left Him alone. In a little while a woman came out of the city, carrying a pitcher to draw water. Now this woman was a sinner, for she did not love God in her heart, and everybody that does not love God is a sinner. This woman had done many wrong things, and Jesus knew this, for He sees right down into our hearts and knows of everything we have done. Jesus talked with the woman and told her of some of the very wrong things she had done, long ago. Now when Jesus told her these things, she thought He must be a prophet; she meant that he was a person whom God told of things that other people did not know. She said she knew some day Jesus the Saviour was coming into the world. Then Jesus said, I that speak to you, am Jesus. You see this woman did not know that Jesus had come into the world yet, and when he said he was Jesus, she was so happy she forgot all about the water, left her pitcher and started and ran all the way to the city, and told the people to come and see a man that told her all the things that ever she did. Is not this the Christ? These people went back with the woman to the well to see Jesus for themselves, and they begged Jesus to come into the city, and He went and stayed three days,

watch closely and you will see how they are going to help m® tell you this beau tiful story for our lesson, and you are going to enjoy every word, for it is a story where every body is busy, and Jesus knows how boys and girls love to be busy every minute. Just before Jesus went back to heaven all the peo ple who loved Him were gathered together and He was talking to them and telling them what He wanted them to do while He was away getting ready a home in heaven for every single per son who loved Him. He told them to go and preach the gospel to everybody. The gospel means the good pews that Jesus died for our sins and is living again, so that all who love Jesus will live forever with Him up in heaven. Let us say our memory verse. Now I am going to light this candle and then you will see what will happen when I put this lighted candle right up close to the one that is not lighted. Now we have two lighted ones. You see the first candle helped the second one to shine, and now this second 'one is going to help the third one to shine also. (Proceed with lighting process explain ing how boys and girls tell each other about Jesus or bring them to Sunday School, and when they know Jesus then they can shine for Jesus. As you light red candle speak of gospel coming to the little Indian boys and girls, yellow, Japanese or Chinese, dark, African, etc.) Prayer. Lesson S to ry .— Now this morning we are going to hear how Jesus Himself helped others to know Him. Jesus you know is the light of the world, and just like the one lighted candle gave its light to the next one, and then that candle lighted another, until they were all lighted and shining. Why do we need lights? Yes, to show us the way
