B ill , m y hu sband , liked to go fishing on Sunday. In­ deed, he liked to go fishing any day he didn’t have to work. When he returned home from his favorite sport, often he was tired and sunburned, hungry and irritated. Usually, he went to sleep as soon as the fish were cleaned and I was left with angry feelings. What to do about my unspoken words? They were true words —scriptural words — but words that the Holy Spirit

would not let me say. Even though it was “ only” my husband I had to consider, he was bom again and it was not my job to make him over. Christ was teaching me that He could use only my life, not my tongue, with my husband. It’s true, it seemed awfully slow that way, but I found out that God has a lot of time. He never turns out a job that is imperfect. He is fitting us for heaven; He is doing a silent, relentless job within an
