This grant will fund the replacement and relocation of our outdoor cold food storage unit, ensuring safe and adequate food storage for campers with specialized dietary needs.
Community Storehouse Food for Kids: School Backpack Program provides nutritious meals to low-income children over weekends and school breaks to combat hunger and support academic success. This grant will fund food, backpacks, and operations to expand the program's reach.
Feeding Southwest Virginia School Pantry Program provides shelf-stable meals to food- insecure students in rural areas, including Martinsville, Virginia. Grant funding will support food purchases, infrastructure, and operations to serve 400 children by year-end.
First United Methodist Church Feeding the Children program ensures no child in Martinsville/Henry County goes hungry during long school holidays by providing take-home bags of nutritious food. Grant funds will purchase pop- top cans, family meals, and other essentials to serve over 316 children at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break.
God’s Storehouse supports the Malcom Huckabee Backpacks Program, which provides nutritious weekend food bags to preschool and elementary school children in Pittsylvania County. This grant will be used to purchase healthy, kid-friendly food to expand the program and serve more children in need.
