MEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS

Food For Free ’s School Markets program provides fresh, culturally relevant food to families in Cambridge and Somerville public schools, ensuring access to healthy meals outside of school hours. Funding will support food purchases, transportation, and operational costs to run 110 markets, serving over 4,500 individuals annually.

The Mystic Valley YMCA operates free food markets in Medford, Malden, and Everett, distributing nutritious food to over 32,000 individuals annually, including 11,000 youth. Funding will support operating costs such as staffing, supplies, and transportation to ensure continued access to healthy food for underserved communities.

Steps to Success provides free afterschool Extended Learning Programs (ELPs) to low-income Brookline students, focusing on STEM, social-emotional learning, and academic support for grades 3-8. Funding will support staff salaries and the expansion of these programs to enhance access to enrichment opportunities for underserved students.

Summer Search mentors low- income, first-generation high school students, providing transformative summer experiences and post- secondary support. Funding

will support mentoring, summer programs, and

operations for 375 students to achieve academic and career success.
