raise funds for the Christmas lights. The money will be used to repair some of the lights and then for hiring a city-approved contractor to put them up on the poles. Then, after Christmas, we hire the same contractor to take the lights down. Neither the City nor London Hydro do this work, although they do approve of us doing it. We pay the costs ourselves, and we need the community’s help in that regard. To raise the needed funds, a cash lottery has been set up. The winner gets $2,000 cash. The tickets are available at the following business locations: Tommy’s Motors, Greenhills Pharmacy, McLennan Flowers & Gifts and The Village Pantry Restaurant. Tickets are also available at the Lambeth Legion, Branch 501 on Kilbourne Road and the Lambeth Lions are selling at select times at the Foodland grocery store. The Lambeth Rotary Club are also selling tickets at select times at the LCBO store in Lambeth. Tickets are only $10 each so visit one of these locations to buy your tickets to help us continue this great Lambeth tradition. The draw will be held Monday, November 24th at 7:00 pm at the Village Pantry Restaurant. Money from the lottery will also be used to replace the decorative Lambeth gateway sign that was lost during the construction of Colonel Talbot Road, north of Lambeth. Further funds will also be used to refurbish the other three gateway signs on the other entrances to Lambeth.
