King's Business - 1964-10

“Run now and ask Beniakka if you may be excused from Fancy Sewing for the morning. Tell her why. She will understand.” The rest of the morning found Tara going from house to house in the village of Pargav. She had op portunities to speak to many moth ers and grandmothers and children of the Lord Jesus. Many people took tracts and a number bought Gospels of John or Luke from her. She came home tired, but happy. It was nearly two o’clock. The chil dren had gone back to school. Latta and Susha were having their after noon naps. “ Sahansheela,” Tara ex claimed. “ You’ve done a wonderful job! Now just before you go to Sew ing let me run over to Auntie’s to tell her all that happened today in the village. The Missionary Auntie of the Jas mine Family listed carefully as Tara told of the morning in Pargav. Then they prayed for the people of that village and asked God’s bless ing upon all the tracts and gospels that had gone into the hands of the people. When Tara left, the Missionary Auntie couldn’t help but think of the loving hand of God . upon the life of this young girl. She remem bered how she had come in as a tiny opium-fed baby. Both parents had died. Tara had come from a large temple town. Had it not been for the Lord she might have been given to the priest to serve in the temple. Instead, she had been brought to Mukti. God had given her health in spite o f a bad start with opium. In her early ’teens she had become a member of the Sunflower Family. Just three years ago she had asked if she might go away for training in Bible School. After graduation she had been placed as Matron-mother in the Jasmine Family. She was a happy, faithful worker and was proving day by day that she had the love and respect of all in her care. Best of all, she was concerned that each child should find the Lord Jesus as her Saviour and then be guided into a path of service for Him just as she had. The Missionary Auntie thought of Psalm 32 and verse 8 which says “ I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” This is exactly what God had done for Tara. And did you know that He wants to do the very same thing for every boy and girl? The very first step is to let Him come into your heart. After that, He will lead you very carefully step by step. Have you asked Him to do this for you?
