Break big goals into smaller, manageable steps. Ask yourself: What can I do in just 10 minutes to move forward? For example, I wrote much of my memoir, Dancing on My Own Two Feet, in 10-minute scenes. I also completed my master’s degree while working full-time by carving out 10–30-minute study breaks throughout the week. Those little moments add up, and they make what once felt impossible completely achievable.

Jennifer Todling is first and foremost a dreamer. She prioritizes her creative outlets and has built a beautiful life around the things she loves. Whether it’s participating in a weekly choir, taking dance classes, or publishing a memoir, Jennifer knows it’s important to model to her daughter, Sophia, how to make time for passions. The Todlings are a creative family, with a love for the arts at the center of their lives. Jennifer and her husband met as ballroom dancers, and their love for dance has passed down to Sophia. The Todlings also love to travel together and enjoy both big and small adventures. Jennifer says they tend to get stir-crazy if they stay home too long. After spending two decades in public accounting, Jennifer returned to graduate school and pursued a certificate in Executive Coaching. She found a passion for helping people and organizations navigate transformational change, and it inspired her to work toward a master’s degree in Organization Development at Champlain College Online. She says that having her daughter at her graduation ceremony was one of her proudest moments as a mother. Today, she enjoys teaching and coaching as part of her commitment to leadership and personal development.
