London Community Artists 7th Annual Art Show and Sale Do you need to change, brighten, or enhance your wall space? Do you enjoy opportunities to browse and appreciate art for art’s sake? Perhaps you’re looking for that perfect and unique gift for that special someone. The London Community Artists’ annual art show is an opportunity for Londoners to meet local artists in person, view and purchase their art. Once again, this year’s show, featuring their member artists, will be at St. Anne’s Anglican Church Hall in Byron on the following dates: A collection of approximately 250 works will be on display, including pieces created with oils, acrylics, watercolour, ink, coloured pencil, photography, fabric, paper, and mixed media. All art is original and created by the members, featuring works that encompass a variety of artistic styles, including landscapes, portraits, and abstracts – something for every taste! Each piece of artwork will be carefully considered by the show judges before opening night. The talented London artists Corinne Garlick and Peter Karas will be the show judges (www.corinneandpeter.ca). They will have the difficult task of selecting 10 of the submitted entries to receive a “Judges’ Choice” award ribbon. Formed in 2019, the London Community Artists is an art group of 75 members from the London area. They range in experience from emerging artists to accomplished full-time professionals. Their work is often seen in many galleries and venues across London and Southwestern Ontario, including ongoing public exhibits at Cherryhill Village Mall and the Convergence Centre at Western University. They also volunteer in the community by hanging their artwork at the Children’s Hospital-LHSC to help cheer families and staff. This year’s sale is sure to be a visual delight! St. Anne’s Anglican Church Hall is on 1344 Commissioner’s Road West. For more information about London Community Artists, including artist members, visit www.londoncommunityartists.ca.
