Local Artist, Christopher Golding by Peri Hayes Christopher Golding has been a dedicated artist in the local community since his youth, having studied the arts in secondary school and continuing to expand his skills throughout adulthood. “I have been drawing and painting since I was a child,” Christopher shares with nostalgia. With enthusiasm, he proceeds about his background, “I had a great experience with the art program at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute. After high school, I maintained various jobs while exploring diverse forms of art and crafting my own style.” Through an array of approaches and unique methods, Christopher brings his visions to life. “From painting murals,” he lists, “to painting window displays for local bars and restaurants, painting commissioned portraits, custom canvases and painting objects like car hoods and golf carts, clothing and instruments.” Painting with acrylics, spray paint, and airbrush are Christopher’s favourite media, and his preferred time to paint is during the evening hours. Some days though, Christopher becomes immersed in his flow state, admitting, “I am painting and drawing, or scalpel cutting hand-drawn stencils all day and night long!” “I am very proud of many, many projects I’ve had the honour of painting,” Christopher reflects, “including my mural on Veterans Memorial in London; my participation with the London Children’s Museum Brush-Off live painting competitions for charity and other charitable organizations I’ve worked with;
