Jeffrey Drobins, Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company “Network and make as many friends as possible!”
f you could dine with anyone dead or alive whowouldyouchoose ? Dead-My Father, Alive- Jamie Dimon What is your most no- table project, deal or trans- action? The redevelopment of the Si- mon Silk Mill in Easton, PA. A $50 million, four phase, mixed- use, brownfield redevelopment project which was completed in 2019. PSB&T led a bank group to fund a $34 million loan to the Borrower who has been working on the project for the better part of a decade. How do you contribute to your company and / or the industry? At Peoples Security I am responsible for six commercial lenders who cover the Lehigh Valley footprint of the bank. In five years, my team has grown from $0 to $550 million + in assets for the $2.4 billion bank. Peoples Security is ar- guably the most active CRE lender in the Lehigh Valley market and we have financed well over $700 million in proj- ects in the past five years. We have also been a part of some of the most notable CRE proj- ects over this time period. Who or what has been the strongest influence in your career? My mentor, Neal Koplin, who today is the Chief Bank- ing Officer at Peoples Security. Neal asked me to join him in the Lehigh Valley in 2010 and we have been working to- gether for the last decade. He has taught me that working hard, being honest, and doing the “right” thing even when it is tough is the best way to build your career. What impact has social media / networking had on your career? Social media has not played any impact on my career to date, I do not use LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram or Face- book. Networking however has played a huge role! I am constantly out with customers, clients and in the community building my sphere of influ - ence. I use my network and relationships to grow PSB&T every day. Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current posi- tion and why you choose the field/profession you are in today? I
for the real estate group at National Penn Bank. Who do you feel was most influential in your life when choosing this profession? Joseph Walker, who today runs the Real Estate group at WSFS Bank. Joe gave me my first job as a CRE Analyst in the Southern Region of Na- tional Penn Bank in November 2007. As the market collapsed and the team transitioned from sales to workout, Joe kept it fun and enjoyable to work for the bank. What outside activities
do you enjoy during you free time? Personally, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two golden retrievers (Chance-6, Charlie-3) as well as golfing. Professionally, I am on the board of the Greater Easton Development Partnership and am a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lehigh Valley Academy. What inspiring word of advice would you give to a young executive graduat- ing from college today? Network and make as many friends as possible! MAREJ

I accidentally stumbled into my career in real estate as a credit analyst at National PennBank, the co-workers and clients made it enjoyable (even though it was 2007/2008) and
so I never left. I had accepted a position for a large annuity provider and backed out on the Friday before the week I was set to start; because I thought it would be more fun to work
