PRESIDENT'S COLUMN
MAHALO, WITH DEEP APPRECIATION
Well, this will be the last time I write this article, as Kristi will soon be taking over — and the Club could not be in better hands. The holiday season is always a busy and exciting time at the Club, beginning with Halloween and continuing through the end of the year. I had the pleasure of attending the Halloween celebration and was truly impressed by the outstanding job our staff did with both the keiki activities and the adult festivities. Thanksgiving at the Club is always a wonderful opportunity to indulge in Chef Eric’s exceptional holiday dishes, and once again, he did not disappoint. Looking ahead, we have our Christmas events: the Tree Lighting on November 29, Christmas with Santa on December 7, our Candlelight Dinner with music and dancing on the 24th, followed by our Christmas Eve Dinner and the Christmas Day Buffet on the 25th. These well-attended events bring our Club year to a festive close.

Introduce a Candidate for Membership Membership in The Pacific Club is, and has always been, by invitation only. After all, it’s how you became a member. Today, you can help ensure the future and ongoing success of The Pacific Club by encouraging qualified friends and associates to join the Club. As a member, it is both your privilege and responsibility to introduce someone to the possibility of membership. As we celebrate, it is also important to remember those in our community who are less fortunate. This season, we are so grateful for all of the food donations given by our generous members in November, for our Thanksgiving food drive. All proceeds went to Hawai‘i Foodbank, who are continuously working hard to help families in need throughout year. This month, please consider participating in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program, which will be located in the Lobby. Thank you for your contributions in advance. As I close, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Amy for her leadership this year and to Mike for his dedicated service in years past. Our success as a Club is a direct result of their tireless efforts. I also want to acknowledge our Board and Committee members, whose thoughtful guidance and behind-the-scenes work are vital to our continued strength. Thank you all for your commitment. Lastly, I want to offer a heartfelt Mahalo to our staff. I may not thank them personally as often as I should, so let this written acknowledgment stand in place of the many individual thanks they deserve. They are truly the secret sauce that makes our Club the elegant place where friends and colleagues gather for both business and social enjoyment.
