Construction is expected to break ground this summer Kinsley to deliver new facility for BaltimoreMounted Police
ALTIMORE, MD — Kinsley Construc- tion, Inc. has been engaged by the B&O Railroad Museum and First Mile Stable Charitable Foundation, LLC to design and build a new stable for the Baltimore City Mounted Police – the nation’s oldest continuously operating mounted police unit. The project will include state-of-the-art stables and an educational facility con- structed on the B&O Railroad Museum property inWest Bal- timore. The new stables will better support the work of the police department’s mounted unit and facilitate educational opportunities for Baltimore City school children. The de- sign includes areas for horses, officers and visitors, including: • 12 horse stalls • Grooming and bedding areas • Two wash bays • A tack room • An office, locker rooms, a kitchen and a laundry room for officers • A demonstration and exer- cise area adjacent to the gal- lery area where visitors can observe activities at the stable Design is underway, and B
