Gyroscope - demonstration model HG0094 The gyroscope model demonstrates the conservation of the orientation of its axis of rotation when no moments of external forces are present. It also shows the gyroscope’s reaction to a nonzero moment of an external force. The device is made of a metal circle placed on a steel axis with horizontal holes for threading a string used to set the circle rotating by pulling. The axis has two adjustable tapered roller bearings. In the set there are also two stands with support arms. One allows the gyroscope to rotate around the vertical axis, the other allows a tilt.
