November is the month when those of us who drive have to change our tyres. What is the situ- ation like with aircraft, do you also have to swit- ch to winter tyres? “No, aeroplanes use the same tyres under all conditi- ons. The basic purpose of an aircraft tyre, unlike others, is to endure strong impacts and pressure during various lan- ding conditions, as well as to handle high accelerations af- ter touching down on the runway. Planes move at very low speeds when turning and on manoeuvring surfaces, par- ticularly if those surfaces have been altered in some way, and that’s why the composition of the tyre do- esn’t have to be changed.” ve ever-more electronics and various an- tennas for communicating with ground sta- tions, satellites and other planes. That’s why radio waves from mobile phones can disrupt their functioning until they are completely out of range. Passengers should take this instru- ction seriously and switch off their mobile de- vices.” Which of our destinations would you most like to ta- ke us to this month? “Regardless of the month or season, for me the Alps are always a good choice. You won’t go wrong where- ver you land – in Milan, Ljubljana, Vienna, Zurich etc. The- re are many cities located near these wonderful mounta- ins that Air Serbia also flies to. Of course, in November you might miss out on snow and have to wait a bit longer to ski (perhaps until the end of the month), but there’s plenty of enjoyment to be found in the Alps even without snow.” Passengers don’t always take instructi- ons to switch off their phones during ta- ke-off seriously. Could you explain to us why that’s nonetheless very important?
Er Srbija leti do preko 80 redovnih i čarter-destinaci- ja u Evropi, na Mediteranu, Severnoj Americi i Africi, a sada i Aziji, i to u putničkom i teretnom saobraćaju.
The national airline of the Republic of Serbia has been operating under the Air Serbia name since October 2013, when the national carrier’s name and overall identity were chan- ged, with the introduction of new business concepts and services across its growing network of destinations. Air Serbia is the direct successor of the region’s first airline: Aeroput, which was founded in June 1927, and since then the Ser- bian national airline has been among the leaders of civil aviation, becoming a member of the International Air Transport Associati- on (IATA) in 1961. Air Serbia flies to more than 80 scheduled and charter destinations in Europe, the Mediterranean region, North America and Africa, but now also Asia, providing both passenger and cargo transport services. In cooperation with its partner airli- nes, Air Serbia is able to offer flights to international destinations in Asia, Australia, North America and Africa. Alongside Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, as its hub, Air Ser- bia also flies from Serbian airports Niš Constantine the Great and Morava Airport near Kraljevo. Air Serbia plays a key role in the development of aviation in Serbia, but also Serbia’s travel and tourism industry. The com- pany’s priority is to offer passengers an exceptionally high-quality service. Our aim is to provide passengers with maximum comfort throughout their journey, regardless of which class they fly.
