ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Tomas Lee Cabrillas He is the dean of the College of Public Safety (COPS) at the First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH). He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminology from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in 2017. He is a national reviewer for the Board Licensure Examination for Criminologists (BLEC) and has handled various corporate security management and consulting projects outside the academe. Currently, he is the regional governor of PCAP 4 Chapter, a member of the Regional Quality Assessment Team, Commission on Higher Education (CHED-IVA) for Criminal Justice Education since 2018 and a Continuing Professional Education (CPD) monitor and evaluator for Professional Criminologists—Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). He was awarded the Outstanding Certified Security Professional of the Philippines for 2017 by PSIS International and Outstanding Criminologist of the Philippines for 2014 by the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines.
Philip Bautista Magtaan
He is a graduate of Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice with a Specialization in Criminology from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas with High Distinction. Currently, he is a member of Philippine National Police and an esteemed lecturer for several higher educational institutions in Region 4. He is also a researcher and has published research in international journals apart from being an author of textbooks for Criminal Justice Education. The author’s affiliations are the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines 4 (PCAP) and the Federation of Authors in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Inc. (FACCI). He is also a recipient of numerous awards and recognitions in public safety and academe.
Ramil Valentin Remotin
He is a graduate of Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice with Specialization in Criminology from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. He is also a member of the Philippine National Police assigned to the investigation and administrative sections. Aside from being a textbook author for Criminology and Criminal Justice courses, he is also a researcher who has published research an international journal. The author is also an active member of Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines Region IV. As a police officer and academician, the author is a recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for his exemplary performance.
