Educational Assessment of Students with Additional Needs
This textbook will give upcoming teachers, parents, and caregivers of children with special needs in-depth knowledge and understanding of special education through organized lessons and activities about the assessment of students with additional needs. It offers both regular and special education teachers a guide on the appropriate assessment for referral and proper educational placement for students with additional needs. Future educators will be able to provide their utmost support and assistance to children with additional needs and ensure the provision of quality, inclusive, and empowering education to which these children are entitled. This textbook will also enable education students to understand and appreciate the complexity of learners with additional needs through an interactive and challenging learning experience in each lesson. This textbook is written with two primary audiences in mind: those preparing to be special education teachers and those preparing to be general educators. Given the current movement toward inclusive education, special education teachers and general educators must be prepared to understand these learners and be ready to provide appropriate programming for them.
