ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Rufo Gil Z. Albor
Dr. Albor is an assistant professor at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños (UPLB). He holds a Ph.D. in Extension Education and a master’s degree in Education Management. Currently, he is the chair of the Department of Human and Family Development Studies, and he teaches courses in Ecology and Value Systems and Principles of Human Development. He has extensive experience as a research consultant for organizations such as the Department of Education and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. He has contributed to a Child Development course module and various local and international scientific journal articles. Dr. Albor is also a mental health advocate and chairs UPLB Graduate School’s Committee on Social Sciences and Humanities.
Rowena P. de Guzman
She is an assistant professor at the Department of Social Sciences, University of the Philippines-Los Baños (UPLB). She earned her Master of Arts in Sociology and Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology, major in Human Settlements Planning from UPLB. Her primary research interest lies in the sociology of agriculture. She has been actively engaged in collaborative research focused on agricultural production systems, aging, organizations, and impact evaluation, employing surveys, qualitative research designs, and mixed methods research. She is frequently invited as an evaluator of extension projects and programs and as a resource speaker for Research Methods.
Rocky T. Marcelino
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Statistics under the DOST RA 7687 scholarship and Master of Science in Statistics, specializing in Computational Biology, from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños. For more than 11 years, he served as a faculty member at the Statistical Modeling Division of the Institute of Statistics in UPLB. He handled courses in experimental designs, survey designs, statistical methods, and other courses applicable to biological and social sciences. He published numerous scientific research articles in both indexed and non-indexed local and international journals. Currently, he is working at Conservation International as senior manager, supporting the organization’s global portfolio for monitoring and evaluation.
Maria Ana T. Quimbo
Dr. Quimbo holds a Professor 12 position at the College of Public Affairs and Development at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños. She specializes in Educational Research and Evaluation and teaches graduate courses in Education, Research and Research Methods, Instructional Systems Design and Management, and Test and Measurement. She leads and conducts research activities focused mainly on evaluation studies in the areas of education policy and practice, curriculum studies, learning analytics, e-learning, distance education, community education, and community development. Dr. Quimbo has published over 75 research articles in refereed journals, at least 20 of which are in indexed journals. She has also written 10 book chapters. Through her research studies, she has received local and international research awards and recognitions.
