ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cristina Rowena Salcedo-Padilla

She earned her Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in Special Education, from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and her Master in Psychology, major in Child and Family Development, from Ateneo de Manila University. She is a candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy in Education, major in Reading Education, at UP-Diliman. As a senior lecturer at Miriam College, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. As a reading specialist, she has extensive experience in developing literacy programs, conducting reading assessments, facilitating professional development sessions and parent seminars/workshops, and teaching learners with learning, language, and reading disabilities. She also currently serves on the board of the Philippine Dyslexia Foundation.
