A Course Module for Teaching Physical Education and Health in the Elementary Grades is designed to guide preservice teachers of Bachelor of Elementary Education on the intent, content, and processes of teaching Physical Education and Health effectively. This module aims to immerse preservice teachers in the curriculum’s theories, nature, and components related to the subjects. It also discusses and presents ways of designing instruction using appropriate strategies and assessment tools to help them become strategic, critical, and creative in planning lessons in Physical Education and Health. Further, the varied learning activities included in the module will help them become critical and reflective education practitioners. ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Vince R. Del Rosario

He is a licensed professional teacher, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Computer Education and is currently taking his Master of Arts in Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education (MAEd-TLE) at Bulacan State University. At present, he is a part-time instructor teaching Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and TLE subjects and professional education subjects such as Technology for Teaching and Learning, Values Education, and The Teacher and the Community, School, Culture, and Organizational Leadership at Bulacan State University.

Ruzzel M. Diego

He attained his Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSED) major in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health as a cum laude and is currently pursuing his Master in Physical Education at Bulacan State University. After graduation, he earned his professional license and works as a part-time instructor, handling physical education and health-related courses at the College of Education of Bulacan State University, and has been appointed as the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) program coordinator.

Joel B. Faustino

He graduated with a Master of Education in Curriculum Development from Ehime University in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Education with a major in Curriculum Studies from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2010. He earned his Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in Preschool Education, from Bulacan State University in 2002. In the same year, he obtained his professional teacher license while working as a preschool teacher and was soon promoted to school principal. He is a permanent faculty member of the College of Education at Bulacan State University, teaching professional education and preschool major subjects. He is a senior education program specialist in the Bureau of Curriculum Development of DepEd. He works as a part-time faculty member at Miriam College- Quezon City and at Don Honorio Ventura State University, handling education subjects. He also designs learning resources for learners and teachers. Additionally, he is a national trainer in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment. He graduated cum laude from the Philippine Normal University-Manila and is a resource speaker, trainer, and facilitator in numerous local and international training workshops.
