Understanding the Self
Understanding the Self is designed and organized to meet the general education requirements for any college program in the Philippines. It is also written for those interested in strengthening their understanding of the “self” and the different concepts related to it. The module hopes to specifically enhance the learners’ understanding of the “self” and answer the question “Who Am I?” The study of the self is, thus, one of the most interesting and stimulating courses at the tertiary level due to its inherent personal relevance to each learner. This module seeks to aid the students in understanding the self to better equip them with the knowledge that will guide them to make better choices and learn who they are, making them better members of their cliques, their families, and society as a whole. This module includes three chapters, each with three or six lessons. Each chapter includes an overview of contents, learning outcomes, topic learning objectives, enabling activities, assessments, culminating task, reflection, and a list of references.
