OH!MINO GIVES AN ENDURANCE CYCLIST A BOOST MEET GERARD, THE 59-YEAR-OLD WHO BIKED 88.3 MILES
U.S. Air Force veteran Gerard Papsch picked up endurance mountain biking during his military service in the mid- 1990s. Now, at 59, he is a top-ranked endurance road cyclist with the Project Hero Reno HUB and Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno-Tahoe in Nevada. But a few years ago, Gerard felt himself slipping. The amino acid complexes he used no longer cut it. “As I started riding greater distances and increasing in age, I noticed a serious decline in my overall abilities,” he says. “So, I thought it was time to restructure my supplements and nutrition for cycling.” Gerard came across Oh!mino after finding the NASA study that inspired our formula. Intrigued, he ordered a starter pack. “I couldn't help but notice from the first day I took it how invigorating it felt overall and how much it increased my ability, endurance-wise and performance- wise, almost immediately,” he says. Gerard added Oh!mino to his workout routine and now uses our capsules,
powder, and caffeine-free powder products at least twice a day, including on his bike! With the support of Oh!mino, he has taken his cycling to new heights. His first goal was to complete a Grand Fondo — a 62-mile ride. “I accomplished my first one with the help of Oh!mino!” he says, noting that he keeps extra powder with him to add to his water at checkpoints. It makes cycling easier and more comfortable, and decreases his stiffness and pain the next day.
Last year, Gerard crushed another milestone. On the first day of the One Awesome Tour Bike Ride Across Nevada (OATBRAN), he finished an 88.3-mile ride, his longest in four years! He has also caught back up with the lead riders in his local groups. “I couldn’t be more pleased [with Oh!mino], period,” Gerard says. “In all honesty, after all of the sweat and effort and money I've put into all of the sports over all the years — either being forced to have to try to stay in shape because of being a military member or choosing to do so as part of my aging process — I am SO glad that I found this product. I couldn't be more thankful.” We’re pumped about Gerard’s progress and can’t wait to see him slay the full five- day, 420-mile OATBRAN!
