MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION Become a member and join the excitement! Use of the Rowlett Community Centre is available for Rowlett Residents and Non-Residents. Rowlett Residents may receive the resident membership rate by presenting two forms of identification establishing Rowlett residency. An annual membership is valid for one year from date of purchase. Monthly memberships are valid for 30 days from date of purchase. Please present your membership card at the front desk each time you visit the facility. A $5 daily drop-in fee will be assessed when the membership card is not presented. Recreation Centre Amenities FITNESS ROOM
Replacement cards may be purchased for $5. Guests 17 years and younger must have a release form signed by a parent or legal guardian before being issued a membership card or day pass. Group Pavilions Rent one of our many pavilions during the regular operating hours of the Wet Zone. Perfect for reunions, church groups, scout groups, school outings, team parties, company picnics, or any group looking to have a great time! $85 for a 1.5-hour rental and $30 for each additional 30 minutes. Price does not include admission. Group pricing of $6 per person is available when a pavilion is reserved for groups of 15 or more! Swim Lessons Parent/Child (6m - 3 yrs) This class is an introduction to the water for the toddler, ages 6 months to 3 years, and parent! Water safety and cueing is emphasized in this class. One parent per child must be in the water for the duration of the class. Tadpole (Preschool Level, ages 3-5 yrs) Learning through games is applied at this level. Children learn safety around the pool as well as water exploration. Getting the face wet and feel- ing comfortable are the main goals of this class. Shrimp (Level 1, ages 6 and up) Introduction to water skills including water entry/ exit, submerging face, exhaling and opening eyes under water, floating, roll over, and basic stroke introduction.
Upon graduation, each student will receive a free ticket to the Wet Zone! Group lessons are $55 per student and will meet four times over a one week period
Seahorse (Level 2, ages 6 and up)
Focus is on stroke development including freestyle, rotary breathing, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, swimming in deep water, and basic assists. Swim Team Prep (Level 3, ages 8 and up) Stroke improvement including freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke and safety. Adult (ages 13 and up) Focus is on introductory water skills and stroke development.

World’s Largest Swim Lesson Thursday, June 23: 9:00am-9:30am Join us, along with millions of other people around the world for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson and learn basic water safety skills and build awareness about the fundamental importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning. This is a FREE event, and we just ask that you arrive between 8:30am- 8:45am to sign up and be part of a truly global team! And everyone who is registered and participates will receive a FREE admission ticket to be used anytime during the 2022 season. The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of our great program for City of Rowlett Senior Citizens! We have partnered with DART to provide day pass vouchers valid for all DART transportation. To receive these passes, proof of Rowlett residency is required and you must be 60 years or older. Passes are available at the Rowlett Community Centre, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8-12pm, and 1-5pm. You are allowed a maximum of 5 passes per week, and up to 15 passes per month. Mon and Fri at 9:30am Easy Hatha yoga to fit your individual needs. We focus on stretching and strengthening major muscle groups and joints, with breathing, balancing and flexibility training. Bring a yoga mat and come unwind the daily stress away.
GET ENERGIZED WITH JILL
Learn basic tap dance steps that any tap enthusiast can do. Participants do not need tap shoes, but hard sole shoes are recommended. This program will provide participants rhythm, coordination, and mental fitness and fun!

Low impact aerobic exercise, that include dance moves, toning, and stretching. The program is done to the latest in music favorites and will get that heart pumping and participants will enjoy fun while getting in shape.

This program includes standing and chair exercises developed to keep joints flexible, muscles strong, and to help reduce pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Stretchy bands are used to warm up. Specific exercises are used for hands and fingers, as well as the muscles and joints throughout the whole body.

If you’ve wanted to start lifting weights but didn’t know where to start, this is the class for you. We encourage RCC seniors of any fitness level to come take this guided instruction through our weight room. Join the RCC Seniors Field trip group as we stroll through the vibrant botanical gardens at the Dallas arboretum. The arboretum has added and changed so much over the last few years, if you haven’t seen it now is the prefect time to check it out.
