Analogous tones use colours from the same and neighbouring colour families, varying in depth. Analogous starts to becomemore interesting as variations in colours are used to a certain degree.
Complementary colours are a fourth option and involves the pairing of colours that sit on the opposite sides of a colour wheel.

Browns X2140S , minks Y3350D , oranges Y6222R and pastel coral Y7710C all belong to the same colour family but offer a breadth of variation. Themain walls colours are low intensity hues that are offset with a splash of the vibrant orange.

Using two colours on a long stretch of wall adds a vertical devide to break up the space and avoid monotonous long corridors. A vibrant chartreuse adds pops of colour for a contemporary finish.
