LEGO Robotics
Our LEGO Robotics program has continued to sharpen our members’ troubleshooting and problem- solving abilities through hands-on challenges. One example from this semester included a thrilling robot race, where they modified their robots and code to boost performance!
In the Code & Create program, students are unleashing their creativity by learning to tell stories through various digital media using iPads. They explored exciting styles like pop art and stop motion animation. As the semester progresses, students will enhance their stop motion animations by adding special effects, including digital drawings, sound, and other creative elements! We are also thrilled to welcome two new Technology Program Specialists, Khris Torres and Jacob Barriga (pictured above), to our team to support this program expansion. VEX Robotics
The VEX Robotics program has returned for another year at BGCSV! Middle schoolers built a robot and attachments to pick up and pull heavy objects! They also learned how to drive their robots both autonomously through code and manually through a controller.
