Preparing for Youth of the Year 2025 On October 16th, 30 high school students filled the Levin-Davis Clubhouse for games, brainstorming, and a shared meal as they prepared for the Youth of the Year, a leadership readiness program by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Participants will attend writing retreats, receive guidance in public speaking and speech writing, and practice mock interviews with BGCSV partners. Students from five clubhouses will write three essays, deliver a three-minute speech, and respond to questions from judges. The final three students will be chosen in January, with the Youth of the Year and two runners-up announced at the gala on February 7th, 2025!

Future Grads
Launched in 2023, BGCSV Future Grads supports students at Morgan Hill and Milpitas high schools on their path to college graduation. Participants receive counseling for college applications and financial aid while developing essential social-emotional skills, such as seeking help and building support networks. The program follows a cohort model, starting the summer before 10th grade and continuing through college and beyond. This year, the Future Grads staff hosted Summer Academy, a week-long experience at Gavilan College and Service Now, aimed at highlighting the value of a college education and building life skills. We’re excited to plan for Summer Academy 2025 and welcome new students!
