She warmly greets everyone and goes out of her way to learn about new residents, ensuring they have a fulfilling life enrichment experience. Recently, Evie took the time to understand a new resident's unique faith, arranging for faith-based programming and respecting their religious needs. The resident's family describes Evie as a "gem," appreciating her dedication. Evie visits residents in rehab or hospital to ensure they feel loved and respected. Trusted by residents to address their concerns, Evie advocates for solutions in their best interest. Evie's impact is deeply felt, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team. Chastidy "Chass" Lawson, Lead Housekeeper at Cedarhurst of Farmington Since joining us in April 2021, Chass has become a cornerstone of our team, embodying trustworthiness in everything she does. Beyond her housekeeping duties, she steps in to support all departments—serving in the dining room, cooking, assisting care staff, leading activities, and covering the front desk. Chass is always ready to help, often without being asked, and does so with a positive attitude. Her unwavering dedication and team spirit make her an invaluable asset, truly exemplifying the core values of Cedarhurst. Submitted by Amy Borzymowski, Regional Director of Operations In a touching display of support, Belinda Branham , Executive Director at Cedar Creek of Fort Wayne , stepped in to assist Dorine Ward , Executive Director at Cedar Creek of Marion , during a challenging time. When Dorine had to place her mother in hospice care and faced the daunting task of managing the state's annual inspection, Belinda didn't hesitate to lend a helping hand. Driving to Cedar Creek of Marion without hesitation, Belinda took charge and supported the team throughout the two-day state survey. Her leadership ensured the team achieved a remarkable deficiency-free survey result, despite the emotional circumstances. In addition to the annual survey, a major marketing event with the mayor in attendance was taking place at the community. The Marion team, along with Belinda and Jennifer Morton, ensured the event ran flawlessly. This inspiring demonstration of teamwork and support showcases the dedication and resilience of the staff. When faced with adversity, they not only rise to the challenge but exceed expectations, making us incredibly proud of their outstanding efforts.
