Welcome Friends!

single trait selection or chasing genetic extremes — extremely low birthweights or extremely high milk or extremely large ribeyes. We believe in BALANCE — performance AND structural correctness, muscling AND marbling, phenotype AND genotype! In fact, the only extremes we believe in are EXTREMELY GOOD CATTLE — cattle that are productive in the pasture, profitable in the feedyard and palatable on the plate! That philosophy shapes everything we do: how we develop our cattle with longevity in mind, the depth of data we collect (PAP scores, Carcass Ultrasounds, Genomics), and the guarantees we stand behind. We believe in our product, and we’re committed to helping our customers succeed! Learning about your operations, your goals and how our genetics can support them is one of the most enjoyable things we do! If we can be of help in any way, please don’t hesitate to call Stratton or me. We enjoy “talking cattle” and would welcome the opportunity to visit. We look forward to seeing you on the 21st!

On behalf of our entire family, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to our Pasture To Plate Performance Sale, Vol III. We know you have many choices when it comes to purchasing seedstock, and we’re truly grateful you’ve considered Ochsner Land & Cattle! What a remarkable year it’s been for the beef industry! Consumer demand for high-quality protein, especially beef, continues to rise even as the U.S. cow herd sits at a 75-year low. The result has been all-fresh retail beef prices soaring past $9.00/lb. and record setting prices across every class of cattle. In times like these, we are well served to remember the wisdom found in Luke 9:62, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” We can, and should, celebrate our industry’s current prosperity, but I believe we must focus our energies on equipping ourselves, and our operations, to succeed in the future. As a seedstock provider, we take that responsibility seriously. Our job is to understand where the industry is headed and design genetics that help get you there. Wayne Gretzky said it well, “Good players skate to the puck. Great players skate to where the puck is going to be.” That’s the mindset guiding our program! One of the most encouraging trends we see is a shift away from extremes and back towards balance. We don’t believe in

Sincerely, Kevin Ochsner

OCHSNER LAND & CATTLE PASTURE TO PLATE PRODUCTION SALE

Understanding The Data MATERNAL AND GROWTH TRAITS Calving Ease Direct (CE)— Percent of unassisted births of a bull’s calves when he is used on heifers. A higher number is favorable, meaning better calving ease. Birth Weight (BW)— Predicts the difference, in pounds, for birth weight of the calf. Weaning Weight (WW)— Predicts the difference, in pounds, for weaning weight (adjusted to age of dam and a standard 205 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to weaning. Yearling Weight (YW)— Predicts the expected difference, in pounds, for yearling weight (adjusted to a standard 365 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to yearling. Milk (MK)— The genetic ability of a sire’s daughters to produce milk expressed in pounds of weaning weight. Total Maternal (TM)— An index that combines growth and milk information as a prediction of the weaning weight performance of calves from a sire’s daughters. A greater TM value means a mother that returns comparatively higher weaning weights on her calves. TM Index = MK EPD + ½ WW EPD. Calving Ease Maternal (CM)— Represented as percent of unassisted births in a sire’s first-calving daughters. A higher number represents more favorable calving ease. Scrotal Circumference (SC)— Is a good indicator of age at puberty, and is a highly heritable trait. EPDs for scrotal circumference are expressed in centimeters, with higher values indicating genes for larger yearling scrotal circumferences of sons and earlier puberty of daughters. Docility (DC)— Predicts the genetic difference in cattle temperment, measuring the probability that a sire’s offspring will have a calm, manageable disposition rather than an aggressive one. Expressed as a percentage, higher (more positive) values are more favorable, indicating a higher likelihood of docile offspring. CARCASS TRAITS Yield Grade (YG)— Differences in yield grade score, which is a predictor of percent retail product. Smaller values suggest that progeny will have a better lean to fat ratio. Carcass Weight (CW)— Differences in pounds of hot carcass weight, adjusted to an industry standard age endpoint. Larger numbers suggest offspring will produce heavier carcasses. Ribeye Area (RE)— Differences in ribeye area in inches between the 12th and 13th rib. Greater ribeye areas are preferable. Marbling (MB)— Predicts the differences in the degree of marbling within the ribeye as expressed in marbling score units. Greater marbling numbers are preferable and are an indicator of higher carcass quality grades. PROFITABILITY INDEXES Terminal Profit Index ($TPI)— Used to identify sires that, when mated to Angus- based cows, will produce calves that offer the highest profit potential as fed cattle. This index uses traits directly linked to feeding performance and carcass value including carcass weight, dry matter intake, ribeye area, fat thickness, marbling and post weaning gain.” Maternal Profit Index ($MPI)— Designed for the commercial cattlemen breeding Limousin bulls to Angus-based cows, retaining replacement heifers and selling the surplus calves at weaning. The index is calculated using calving ease, milk, weaning weight, and stayability EPD’s with significant emphasis on mature weight due to its impact on cow maintenance energy requirements. Industry Profit Index ($IPI)— Balances both maternal and terminal selection criteria by incorporating EPDs associated with replacement heifer retention with those that drive fed cattle profitability.

More Than Cattle It’s about a dream that began with a catch-it-calf And a passion that extends beyond profits It’s about a late-night “date” in the calving barn with your wife And about an early morning sunrise painted above the bluffs in the eastern sky It’s about the sound of bawling calves at weaning time And about the still morning silence after a winter snow It’s about the smell of freshly cut hay on a hot summer day And about the aroma of a prime rib roast on New Years It’s about the confidence that comes when kids connect with critters And the humbleness you feel when you’re dancing with nature It’s about the promise and hope that each new calf crop brings, And about experiences you have as a family that can’t be replaced by “things” It’s about bright eyes and blue ribbons at the County Fair And about the sweat and the discipline it takes to get there It’s about friends who are your customers and customers who become friends And about an eternal relationship with our Creator that has no end It’s about the lessons we learn, as painful as some seem And about the love of a family who share not just a name, but a dream Yes, at Ochsner Land & Cattle, it’s about more than just cattle!

OCHSNER LAND & CATTLE PASTURE TO PLATE PRODUCTION SALE

Passion...

Persistence... Progress

Ochsner Land & Cattle is a registered seedstock operation located in Kersey, Colorado, producing Limousin and Lim-Flex (Limousin x Angus Hybrid) cattle. In addition to our seedstock operation, our family has built a direct-to-consumer beef business, Ochsner Tender-Raised Beef, that markets beef to consumers along the front range of Colorado. Driven by the vision of an integrated, “pasture to plate” business model, we’ve taken a balanced, industry-oriented approach to genetics and beef cattle production. We are focused on producing sound structured, performance-oriented, functional cattle that are productive in the pasture, profitable in the feedyard and palatable on the plate! 1. Kevin’s dad and mom, Ken and Roberta Ochsner, began breeding Limousin cattle in 1972. They sold club calves to 4-H and FFA members and showed Limousin pens and carloads at the National Western Stock Show throughout the late 70’s and early 80’s. 2. In 1977, Kevin purchased UO Brigette 54G from Dale Runnion at the National Western Stock Show to begin his Limousin herd. 3. In addition to 4-H and FFA activities, Kevin was actively involved in the North American Junior Limousin Association – showing cattle at Junior National events, competing in speech contests and serving on the NALJA Board. 4. All three of Kevin and Julie’s children have been actively involved in raising and showing Limousin and Lim-Flex cattle through the years. Growing Ochsner Land & Cattle has truly been a “family affair.” 5. From 2006 – 2023, the Ochsner’s served as a cooperator herd for Wulf Cattle, supplying bulls for their annual Opportunity Sale. 6. In 2022, Stratton Wotowey joined the team as herdsman and in 2025 he joined the family as our son-in-law. 7. In 2024, the Ochsner family hosted our inaugural production sale selling cattle to buyers in 10 states. 8. In 2026, Ochsner Land & Cattle exhibited the Grand Champion Pen of Three Lim-Flex Bulls and the Reserve Champion Limousin Bull at the National Western Stock Show.

This 87% purebred, homozygous polled bull went on to be named Reserve Grand Champion Limousin Bull, the People’s Choice Champion and the top-selling lot in the Limousin Legacy sale going to longtime Limousin breeder, Tubmill Creek Farms. He is a long bodied, big hipped, masculine bull with a unique combination of power and presence. He’s big footed, powerfully constructed, bold in his rib shape and moves with plenty of flexibility and cushion. While his profile and pattern are impressive, it’s his genetic values that put him into a league of his own. He ranks in the top 5% in terms of WW, ADG and YW and is in the top 10% for marbling. From a maternal standpoint, he pairs EPDs in the top 10% for milk, top 20% for stayability and top 1% for docility. His dam is a productive HUNT Credentials 37C daughter who has weaned six calves with ratios of 100 at birth, 116 at weaning and 115 at yearling. Marksman has the unique combination of phenotype, genotype and predictability to help you hit your breeding targets!

Long necked, long bodied, big hipped, and deep quartered, this bull catches the eye of everyone who walks into the pen. From behind, his base width, natural dimension and genuine rib shape is truly impressive. His sire, MAGS Kooper Rush, is making a name for himself having sired the 2025 NWSS Grand Champion Bull, OLIM Maverick 417M. His dam is a highly productive daughter of Wulfs Compliant who has weaned 5 of her 6 calves, boasts a WW Ratio of 109, a calving interval of 368 days and calved again this year in early February. Did we mention that he is the highest IMF bull in the sale with a 5.7 adjusted IMF? He combines that with a 16.2 square inch ribeye and a carcass weight EPD in the top 20% of the breed. That’s the kind of carcass merit that can generate serious grid premiums! He also embodies our philosophy of “pasture to plate performance”ranking in the top 25% of all three profit indexes - Terminal Profit, the Maternal Profit and the Industry Profit. His sire, OLIM KOLT 45, topped the sale and is now at work in Lawrence Family Limousin program in Texas. His dam, OLIM Fontenelle 848F produced the other high-selling bull in our 2024 sale, OLIM Latigo 320L purchased by Kelly Blake of Utah. Fontanelle is one of the nicest patterned, most maternally designed and structurally correct females in our program weaning all six of her calves and maintaining a calving interval of 371 days. This long bodied, expressively muscled, attractive profiling, dog-gentle bull has the thickness and muscle expression to put some pop in a set of Angus or Lim-Flex females. In fact, he scanned a 19.3 inch ribeye - the largest ribeye and recorded the largest yearling weight in our entire sale offering! He posted a 722 pound adj. WW, a 1298 pound adj. YW and charts weaning and yearling EPDs in the top 10% of the breed. Couple this with his top 10%ranking in carcass weight and his own IMF ratio of 126 and you have a bull that can produce sale topping commercial bulls and fed cattle that garner significant carcass premiums. He offers much more than pounds and performance. This stout featured, rugged designed, big outlined bull puts it all together in a structurally correct, sound and visually attractive package. Moreover, his dam OLIM Gwyndolen 987G is a big footed, deep bodied, broody female who is also the dam of OLIM Maverick 417M, the 2025 Grand Champion Bull at the National Western now owned in partnership with NC Cattle. Act. BW: 73 • Adj. WW: 602 • Adj. YW: 993 • UFAT: 0.24 • UREA: 13.18 • UIMF: 3.040 This moderate framed, dense made attractively designed bull delivers quality and calving ease. His 73 pound actual birthweight coupled with his double-digit CED of 12 and negative BW EPD, should make him a safe choice on heifers. This double homozygous bull is another son of CNOC Gemini 90G. He posts a marbling EPD in the top 10% and ranks in the top 15% and 5% of the breed in terms of Terminal Profit Index and Industry Profit Index. Given his moderate, compact stature, this may be a bull you could use for several years on yearling replacement heifers. 21 OLIM NORTHRIDGE 644N ET LIM-FLEX(62/54.9) • BULL • HOMO POLLED (P-2) • HOMO BLACK (P-3) 03/05/2025 • OLIM 644N • LFM3634227 MAGS CABLE MAGS FEDERAL RESERVE ET CJSL 4357B ET MAGS APPLESEED MAGS ZEQUIN S A V HESSTON 2217 AHCC XHIBIT THIS X045 CELL ENVISION 7023E CNOC GEMINI 90G MAGS DEALING MAGIC AHCC BARN BURNER B907 PBRS ZSA ZSA 246Z MAGS ZODIAC BDHC TROUBLE 2108Z PAP 40 8 1.35 16 .04 36 .45 .49 105 101 135 20 60 30 45 30 25 20 10 10 95 65 80 10 70 15 35 Act. There’s no mistaking the attractive profile, rib, volume and structural correctness CNOC Gemini stamps on her progeny. From a genetic value standpoint, this double homozygous bull excels in terms of SC, DOC and MARB, while maintaining useful growth numbers. This moderate framed, compact bull should produce moderate sized, functional and efficient females given his top 15% MPI ranking.
