The King's Awards for Enterprise Magazine 2026

Did you engage other team members?

The feedback is specific, constructive and positive. Make time and plan for it, read the questions posed in context, and back everything up with empirical evidence, not just anecdotes, think outside the box. What does winning a King’s Award mean to you and your team? Validation of 30 years in business, and pride as an Isle of Wight-based business. It also confirms that putting people first and commercial success are recognised and are not mutually exclusive. This Award over any other has motivated us to do more, be more, and achieve more as a business and as individuals. Would you consider applying again in the future? In one word ‘Yes’; this Award encourages us to build on what is already a great business where future applications will once again validate us, reinforce our ethos and commitment.

It really was a team effort, with almost every member of the company involved at all levels. We are used to working closely as a team, almost like a family, which helped avoid overstretching resources. Describe any challenges you overcame in the process The main challenge was ensuring we remained both clear and concise; to avoid jargon and repetition, and ensure we had the evidence to avoid empty statements, especially as wordcount always seemed tight. Now you’ve won an Award, what advice would you give to others thinking of applying? Definitely do it! You cannot underestimate the feeling you get when you are announced a recipient - it stays with you forever. Do not be put off if you are not successful [the] first time around. Learn from it to improve; we did.

What do you consider to be the benefits of being a King’s Award holder? Validating our approach and ethos, opening doors, drawing others to us, and us to them, and in doing so creating new opportunities, making us even more attractive to talent looking to work for a more unique IT business and more. Plus confirming to our clients and channel partners that their trust in us is recognised and ‘real’. Attending the Windsor Castle reception and meeting the King and senior members of the royal family, together with three other Island businesses, was special!
