recognising its long-term commitment to sustainable innovation and responsible manufacturing.
The team behind the 100% natural deodorant since 1993.
A pioneer in natural deodorants for more than 30 years, Crystal Spring launched one of the UK’s first refillable spray deodorant system in 2013. Today, Salt of the Earth refill systems use up to 85% less plastic than replacing the bottle each time, helping prevent more than 23.66 tonnes of plastic waste since 2021 alone. The Hampshire-based company continues to invest in lower-impact manufacturing, recently installing 126 solar panels at its factory, with battery storage planned to support its ambition for operations to be powered by self-generated renewable energy on a net annual basis by 2027. The award reflects Crystal Spring’s dedication to combining effective natural products with practical, measurable sustainability improvements.

Ethstat Ethical
Ethstat Ethical is a social enterprise providing sustainable branded merchandise, corporate gifts and an innovative range of teapoint supplies to organisations across the UK. Its customers include Nationwide Building Society, Greenpeace, Amey PLC and Amnesty International, as well as businesses in construction, infrastructure, housing and corporate procurement. Its model helps organisations use routine procurement decisions to cut waste, support ethical partners and create measurable social impact. Ethstat received the award in the Sustainable Development category after more than 20 years of showing how sustainability can be embedded in purchasing decisions, supplier relationships and day-to-day operations. Founded on the belief that business can and should be a force for good, Ethstat has built a model that challenges traditional procurement by putting sustainability, ethical sourcing and social impact at the centre of commercial decisions. The Croydon based social enterprise has helped more than 1,000 people rebuild their lives, supported 1,157 Real Living Wage placements and generated more than 991,000 hours of Living Wage work. Its environmental work has also removed more than 32 million single-use plastics, including 8.8 million from
its coffee range alone, planted over 27,000 trees and saved more than 2,000 tonnes of CO2 beyond neutrality. Yasmin Halai-Carter, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Ethstat Ethical CIC, says: “This award means a great deal to us because it recognises the belief that has guided Ethstat from the start: that

business can succeed commercially while delivering real social and environmental impact. Sustainability should not be confined to a report or used as a marketing message. It should be built into strategy, procurement, partnerships and culture.” The recognition comes as organisations face growing pressure to demonstrate credible action on sustainability, responsible sourcing and social impact. Ethstat’s model helps customers align everyday business supplies with broader environmental, social and governance goals. Bruce Halai-Carter, Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer at Ethstat, adds: “Procurement
is one of the most powerful yet overlooked levers for change. Every order an organisation places is also a choice about the kind of economy it wants to support. This award recognises not only our work, but also the 500+ purpose-led businesses in our supply chain. It shows that sustainable procurement is not a niche concern, but a practical, measurable way for organisations to turn values into action.”
