Formed in 2010, CTS Europe is a family-owned company based in Portsmouth. It specialises in the design and build of laboratory containment systems used for handling highly potent drug compounds. Its systems are used by major pharmaceutical research companies all over the world to protect scientists handling research drugs that pose significant pharmacological risks without proper containment. CTS not only makes specialised containment systems for potent drug compounds, but also manufactures test equipment used to prove the effectiveness of cabinets handling biological pathogens, such as the Covid virus and, more recently, the Hantavirus.
