ERG (Air Pollution Control) Ltd

For almost five decades, ERG has operated in a part of industry most people never see, yet affects millions of people every day. Founded in 1978, ERG (Air Pollution Control) Ltd designs and delivers engineered systems that remove harmful gases, odours and industrial emissions from some of the world’s most demanding process environments. Its technologies support sectors ranging from wastewater treatment and chemicals to pharmaceuticals, energy and advanced manufacturing. While environmental performance is now firmly in the spotlight, ERG’s work began long before sustainability became a mainstream business priority. Over the years, the company has evolved from a specialist engineering business into an international group delivering projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. What makes ERG unusual is the depth of technical expertise retained within the business. Chemical engineers, fabrication specialists, mechanical designers, electrical engineers and project managers work together under one group structure, allowing the company to design, manufacture and support highly bespoke systems for complex industrial applications. Recent years have seen significant investment in UK manufacturing capability, including the

expansion of the Group’s specialist plastics fabrication operations through ERG Hygrade and ERG Plastic Fabrication. These businesses manufacture corrosion-resistant process equipment, vessels and ducting systems used in demanding industrial environments where reliability and compliance are critical. The company has also continued to expand internationally with offices in Jordan and the UAE, and through their joint venture with ERG Neev in India, and Chinese partnership in ERG Yurcent. Despite this growth, ERG remains rooted in British engineering values: practical problem solving, long-term customer relationships, and a focus on performance over publicity. Today, as industries worldwide face increasing pressure to reduce emissions, improve environmental performance and modernise ageing infrastructure, ERG represents a quieter but essential part of the UK’s industrial success story – exporting specialist engineering expertise developed over decades of experience.
