Ana started at BDO in 2002 as an article clerk, spending time in the pension division and working on general audits. Ana specialises in the audits of pension and provident funds and has over 11 years of experience in this industry. Ana serves on the SAICA sector project group for the pension fund industry.
Mahomed joined BDO Johannesburg in 2007, after having worked at KPMG Inc. for eight years in their Investment Management and Funds Business unit. He has vast experience in the audit of retirement funds, medical schemes and owner managed businesses. He was appointed a director at BDO in March 2008. He is currently serving on the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Retirement Funds Project Group and Medical Aid Project Group. Mahomed also serves on various charitable and educational organisations on a voluntary basis.
Soné is a partner in the audit division. She has worked for audit firms both in South Africa and the UK. She also has experience in commerce as the financial manager in the banking and motor divisions of Hollard Insurance Company. Her financial services sector experience includes long and short-term insurance, asset management, stockbroking, micro-lending and private equity. Soné’s clients include Anchor Group, Sasfin Holdings, Real People, The Standard and General Insurance Company, Genric Insurance,Westbrooke Group of companies, Efficient Group and Peregrine Holdings.
